Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schad

geboren 1935, studierte Biologie, Chemie und Physik sowie Pädagogik. Er unterrichtete als Klassen- und Oberstufenlehrer und war anschließend Dozent am Seminar für Waldorfpädagogik in Stuttgart. Im Vorstand der Pädagogischen Forschungsstelle engagierte er sich von 1975 bis 1992. Von 1992 bis 2005 leitete er das Institut für Evolutionsbiologie und Morphologie an der Universität Witten/Herdecke. Er hat zahlreiche Bücher und Zeitschriftenartikel veröffentlicht; u.a. ›Goethes Weltkultur‹; ›Evolution als Verständnisprinzip in Kosmos, Mensch und Natur‹; ›Die verlorene Hälfte des Menschen› sowie sein Opus magnum: ›Säugetiere und Mensch‹.

Wolfgang Schad verstarb am 15. Oktober 2022.
