Jacques Lusseyran

geboren 1924 in Paris, erblindete im Alter von acht Jahren. Er studierte Philosophie und Literatur und organisierte ab 1940 eine studentische Widerstandsbewegung gegen die nationalsozialistische Besatzungsmacht in Frankreich. Von 1944 – 1945 war er im Konzentrationslager Buchenwald inhaftiert. Nach dem Krieg arbeitete Lusseyran als Philosophieprofessor in Frankreich und den USA. Er starb 1971 bei einem Autounfall.
